Abstract
According to the above investigation of various literature on headache, the result were summarized as follows.
1. The etiologies of headache were exogenous and endogenous pathogenic factors, that is, wind, cold, wetness, heat, phlegm, deficiency of vital energy, deficiency of blood, stagnation fo vital energy, drinking, injury of five viscera, seven
modes
of
emotions. Pathology of headache was circulatory disorder of vital energy and blood. The theories of treatment were antiwind, expelling cold, clearing away heat, eliminating wetness, regulating the Yin and Yang, great reinforcing vital energy and
blood,
invigoration the kindey and spleen, calming the liver, promoting the blood circulation and dispersing the blood stasis, therapy for inducing vomiting, invigorating vital energy, enriching the blood, tranquilization, etc.
2. Main treatment points of headache were about 101 points and they were frequently used with the order of Paek'oe. Hapkok. P'ungji, tuyu,P' ungbu, Taeyang, Sangsong,
3. The using frequency of meridian and collateral on headache was the order of Bladder meridian, Gall bladder meridian, Govonor vessel, conception vessel, stomach meridian.
4. The auricular acupuncture therapy and hand acupuncture therapy were frequently used as the new acupuncture therapy of the headache.
